Gary proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1974 thru 1984.

He is a licensed Real Estate Broker and a licensed Certified Residential Appraiser in Tennessee. He also holds an Auctioneer license in Tennessee.
In the past 25 years, Gary has amassed over 800 hours of education in appraising real estate, both fee appraisal and mass appraisal.
Gary and his wife Debbie attend the Northside Church of Christ in Trenton.
He is a member of the Dyer Lions Club, the TNAAO (Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers), the WTNAAO (West Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers), and the TIAAO (Tennessee Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers).
Gary was the TIAAO Member of the Year for 2017-2018 and the WTNAAO Assessor of the Year for 2012.
He has achieved the status of Certified Public Administrator by the State of Tennessee, administered by the County Technical Advisory Service.
Gary and his wife Debbie reside between Dyer and Trenton. They have 2 children, Jonny Paschall (Amy) and Amanda Bradberry (Michael) and 7 grandchildren.
Chief Deputy Assessor & Review Appraiser
Tammy serves as office manager and oversees the office in the absence of the assessor. She is responsible for reviewing property records and entering new construction from the building permit list into the state/county database. She is also responsible for classifying and verifying mobile home park ownership. She keys changes and provides mapping assistance when inclement weather prohibits field review. Tammy is also a notary public.
Deputy Assessor & Personal Property Specialist
Debbie is responsible for all facets of personal property. She mails out and keys personal property schedules, conducts audit monitoring, reviews current and prior assets, and reviews lease reports. She is also responsible for discovery monitoring (checking newspapers for new business announcements, etc.), filing personal property cards and change notices, and keying assistance as needed. Debbie is also a notary public.
Deputy Assessor & Mapping Specialist
Vonna is responsible for all mapping. She makes mapping corrections as needed, maps out new subdivisions and parcels, and makes current paper maps available. She also identifies acreage amounts and land types for greenbelt rollbacks and MapViewer downloads. Vonna is also a notary public.
Deputy Assessor & Deed/Greenbelt Specialist
Rebecca is responsible for data entry, qualifying deeds, and keying new parcel cards for splits. She is also responsible for all greenbelt applications, new-owner questionnaires, exempt to taxable prorations, rollbacks, and change notices as needed. Rebecca is also a notary public.
Deputy Assessor & Field Appraiser
Anna is responsible for reviewing all properties in the county. She travels throughout the entire county checking each property for changes. She measures and classifies new construction from the permit list. She also keys changes and inputs data when inclement weather prohibits field review. Anna is also a notary public.
Deputy Assessor & Deed Verification Specialist
Taylor is responsible for obtaining and verifying new deeds from Rebecca. She verifies the pertinent information (map/parcel, acreage/lot number, price, owners, etc.). She also assists with Personal Property and provides keying assistance as needed. Taylor is also a notary public.
Part-Time Deputy Assessor & Review Specialist
Sheila is responsible for keying changes to properties including sketching new dwellings and adding outbuildings. She also reviews changes made to real property. Sheila is also a notary public.
